Medieval copper alloy mount, probably originally square, but it is incomplete now. The mount is a flat plate with a central 6-petalled flower or sun in the centre within a square or rectangular frame, of which only half remains. There is openwork between the petals and frame. Roman brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill (Mackreth 2011, Part 3, Group 4a-b, Plate 46 AD c. 75-200). The copper alloy brooch has semi-cylindrical wings with perforated wing caps.
