Roman coin: copper alloy radiate of Carausius (286-293) (Reece Period 14), PAX AVGGG, Pax standing left holding branch and transverse sceptre. C Mint, S P//C. dating to the period 286 and 293 (Reece Period 14). The reverse is PAX AVGG depicting Pax standing left, holding olive branch and vertical sceptre. RIC -. Although not in RIC, this common is known from a reasonable number of examples. This coin is included in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC.

c.50 loose coins and concreted mass weighing 1.8kg
ยท The hoard probably consists of c. 400 ish coins which have corroded into a single concreted mass - the single block weighs approximately 2 kilos and there are another c. 50 loose coins.
An organic container was thought likely - traces of leather were found.
