Roman coin: denarius of Julia Domna (193-217) minted in either Rome, Emesa or Laosicea between AD 196 and 211. (Reece Period 10). VENVS FELIX reverse, depicting Venus standing left holding apple and drawing out fold of drapery.RIC Vol. IV Part I, Nos. 580 or 646. The coin appears to be possibly a debased silver with a shiny silver surface. The coin is heavily abraded, which may account for for the debased appearence.
