A Post Medieval silver sixpence of William III (AD 1694-1702). York mint dating to AD 1696 (Spink 3526). Spink (2000: 328).
Coin is extremely worn and appears to have been bent into and S-shape. Coins with such a double bend are not uncommon finds but their significance is not fully understood. According to Dr Kevin Leahy such 'Love tokens' were made using coins dating from the time of Elizabeth I (1558-1603) to the reign of Ann (1702-1714) with some Georgian examples. An incomplete cast copper alloy and iron knife, the handle of which depicts an erotic scene, dating to the Roman period (c. AD43-410). The knife is missing all of the blade with the exception of the tang and the surviving handle has suffered significant corrosion and wear.
The base of the handle is an irregular worn block 15.8mm wide and 4.7mm thick, with a slot containing the corroded remains of the blade. The weight is conical in profile and has a roughly oval cross section. It starts at 17.99mm long and 16.09mm wide at the base, tapering to 12.85mm long and 10.74mm wide near the top. At this point, it narrows rapidly to 5.56mm wide whilst remaining 12.35mm long and forms a rounded lug that is roughly rectilinear at one end and rounded at the top. The object is roughly sub-oval in profile with a flattened top and bottom. The very top is roughly sub-rectangular, being 16.89mm long and 14.02mm wide. The weight then expands downwards, slowly changing to having a sub-oval cross section, reaching a maximum of 34.45mm long and 31.19mm wide. The object is rectangular in plan and profile and has a central oval perforation (7.87mm long, 5.67mm wide). At the bottom of the object, it is 14.94mm wide and 3.75mm thick, stepping up to 16.04mm wide and 5.15mm thick and then gradually increasing to 18.57mm wide and 6.07mm thick just before the break at the top and then to 7.35mm thick at the break. The token is roughly circular in plan and is uniface. The obverse is decorated with a raised inner circle, from which radiates three raised ribs. An incomplete copper alloy trumpet brooch dating to the Roman period (c. AD 75-175). The object has an oval head with integral lug on the reverse to hold the, now missing, pin. The bow tapers sharply downward form the head and tapers in a wron break just before the foot. Roughly half way down the bow are two rounded collars which would have formed a decorative motif but this is now too worn to make out. The remains of a catchplate can be seen on the reverse of the bow at the base. The object has a dark green patina.

A complete lead shot dating to the Post Medieval period (c. AD 1600-1800). The object is sub-spherical in form with one slightly flattened surface possibly from impact. The remians of a casting sprue can be seen on the opposing side. The object is covered in pits and scratches and has a light grey patina.

Well preserved copper alloy socketed side-looped spearhead dating from the early Middle Bronze Age, c. 1600-1400BC. The head of the spear is leaf-shaped with a pronounced midrib. There are two side loops, which are flattened, are situated roughly halfway along the shaft. The spearhead has a dark chocolate-brown patina and shows some signs of wear.

An incomplete copper alloy Crotal bell of a single cast form of Post Medieval date (AD 1550 - 1750).
The object comprises two hemispheres divided by a raised horizontal circumferential rib. It is incomplete, missing approximately one third of one side. There is one round sound hole remaining to the upper hemisphere. The second is almost completely missing.
There is an integral rounded topped suspension loop. The loop projects from the upper hemisphere and has a circular profile hole drilled through it immediately adjoining the upper hemisphere.

A copper-alloy Medieval strap end in very poor condition. The tip of the strap end is sadly bent over, possibly due to plough damage. The none damaged side shows two layers of metal, which the strap would have gone into, and three rivets, the tips of which are covered up on the opposite side. There is a small hole at the widest end of it where a rivet would have gone through securing the 2 pieces of metal together.

A complete copper alloy Roman phallic mount. The object is convex and 'T-shaped' in plan, the phallus itself being triangular in cross-section and its straight sides gradually converging towards the raised, moulded tip. At the other end, the testicles project at a right angle from either side of the phallus with an oblique grooves separating the rounded testicles from the base of the phallus. The reverse is concave, with a single square-sectioned pin at the centre. There remains much of the white metal coating on the front of the object.
