The weight originally had an iron loop, the stubs of which protude from opposite sides near the top. The conical shape has a broad rounded top, and around the base there is a wide, uneven lip. The weight has a cream patina, with the underlying grey metal showing at the sight of a recent plough strike. The weight is 39.6mm tall and has a maximum diameter of 54.3mm. The weight is similar to example 69 and 75 in Biggs and Withers, Lead Weights.

An incomplete cast lead or lead alloy weight of probable late Medieval or Post Medieval date (1250 - 1700). The weight was originally circular but now semi-circular being broken (possibly cut) in half. It is rectangular in cross section. The upper face of the disc is decorated with incised concentric rings which have been cut over with deep knife scores. The reverse face was originally flat and plain however a number of deep grooves have been cut into the reverse with a knife. The weight is sub-circular in plan and D shaped in profile; in cross section it is an irregular rectangle. Through the centre is a sub-circular hole (diameter: 8.7mm). There is no sign of decoration and the ring is a mid grey colour with an even, but powdery corrosion.
