Plain cylindirical lead weight with central shaft. The weight is crudely proportioned, and the central shaft tapers from top to bottom. It has a grey to cream patina. An incomplete cast lead weight or steel yard weight. The weight is sub-circular in plan. The top half is conical with the remains of an iron stud projecting from its apex, the bottom half is a shallow dome and there is a prononced lip where the two halves join. It is possible that the weight was suspended by this iron stud which is incomplete. The weight is a white to cream colour with a relatively even, but slightly corroded and abraded, patina that covers all surfaces.
