A complete cast and possibly lathe-turned copper alloy trade weight issued in the reign of James I or II. The weight is circular in plan and the edge, on the upper surface forms a wide lip. Within the lip there is two concentric low-relief rings. In the field outside the rings and between the lip there are 4 stamped symbols. Cast copper alloy trade weight of probable post medieval date (1600-1750). The weight is circular in plan with a raised rim and sunken, slightly convex, interior. The rim and interior are the same on each face. The weight has been abraded in the plough soil and corrosion and wear has obscured the stamped marks. A Post Medieval cast copper alloy weight dating to circa (AD 1625 - 1649). The weight is circular in plan. The upper surface has a lipped rim and two fine low-relief concentric rings in the centre. Within the concentric rings is a centrally placed circular incision. At the centre of the front face of the weight there is a circular indentation which is where the maker would have shaved the weight to make it the correct weight. The reverse face has a central recess filled with white lead alloy. The weight is a mid green colour with an abraded surface patina. The weight measures 6.2mm thick, diameter of 32.5mm and weighs 24.83 grams (0.87 ozs).
