A lead alloy weight, possibly a pump seal weight, of likely Post Medieval date (c. AD 1650-1800). The weight is sub-rectangular in plan, profile, and cross section. On the top of the weight, there is a sub-rectangular recess where the left and right hand edges are raised and in the centre there is a sub-oval lug (26.19mm long, 22.75mm wide). On the reverse, there are two raised sections on both the left and right hand side that both curve inwards, creating a recess that has larger, trapezoidal sections at the top and the bottom of the weight connected by a narrower sub-rectangula…

Solid circular lead weight of probable medieval or post medieval date. It has a considerable degree of wear on both faces- on one a projecting rim is apparent and the surface is slightly dished / concave. The weight is a mid cream - grey colour. It measures 35.72mm in diameter and is 9.2mm thick; it weighs 64.61g.

A complete circular lead probable trade weight of possible Post-Medieval date, circa 17th - 18th centuries. The weight has flat surfaces on the upper and lower faces. The obverse face has a stamped mark which could represent either 'IB' for the weight or may be an official stamp that represent the initials of an authority or establishment. The stamp is situated slightly off centre. The reverse does not have a stamp or decoration. The weight is a mid-cream to brown colour with a worn surface. Biggs and Withers (2000) suggest weights with stamped marks date from 15th to 18th centurie…

A plain, cast lead weight, of probable Post Medieval date. This weight has suffered a couple of heavy plough strikes which have gouged and mishaped it. Originally it was conical in shape with a large central piercing. It has a yellow-white patina, and is grey in colour where abrasion and strikes have occurred. It is 14.5 mm high and has a maximum diameter 26.8mm (although probably less before it was damaged). It weighs 36.8g.

A complete, cast, lead alloy weight, probably Post Medieval in date but due to the lack of other dating may date from the Roman - Post Medieval periods. This crudely shaped weight has a flat base, cylidrical body and domed top. It is sub-circular in plan. There is a central piercing. The surface is very abraded, with a yellow white patina in the unworn areas, and grey yellow colour where abrasion has occurred. There is no obvious decoration or symbols on the well worn surface. A cast lead weight of post medieval date. The unmarked weight is broadly flat and broadly circular in plan. It has a pronounced and battered, irregular rim, which is most prominent on the top side. The irregular nature of the rim is probably due to knocks in the plough soil, which have also slighlty bent the weight and left a couple of gouges. The weight has a yellow grey patina all over. The maximum diameter of the weight is51.0mm, and its maximum thickness, from the rim, is 11.2mm. It weighs 139.6g (4.92 oz).

A crude lead weight. This flat weight is lozenge shaped in plan. The weight has no decoration or marks. The tip of one corner is slightly thicker on the front side. The weight has an off-white patina all over, apart from where recent abrasion has occurred. Height 41.3mm, width 41.5mm, maximum thickness 8.6mm Weight 66.7g (2.35 Ounces).
