A conical lead alloy standing weight of probable Medieval to Post-Medieval date, circa (AD 1300 - 1700). The apex is a rounded knop and measures 9.38mm in diameter. There is a centrally placed rectangular indentation on the upper surface of the apex, this measures 5.14 mm in length. The sides of the weight flare to the rounded flat base with a diameter measuring 23.8mm. The outer faces of the weight are decorated with four vertical ribs that are fairly evenly spaced around the circumference of the weight. A complete lead weight, of Roman to Post Medieval date (AD 43 - 1900). The weight is tear dropped shaped in plan and both faces of the weight are flat. The weight is undecorated on both faces. The weight is complete and has a perforated rectangular suspension hole through the top where it thins to a tip, this measures 4.35mm in length and 2.59 mm in width. The base is flat with a slight depression at its mid point. The upper surface has a distinct high domed curve - but is undecorated; although the surface is roughened - but patinated. The weight is a mid grey white colour with an even patina that covers all surfaces. It has been marked and abraded in the soil this has caused it to become asymmetrical. The weight is sub-cylindrical with a single transverse cast hole set off centre (diameter 5.0 mm); the hole is filled with soil and one end is crushed and the hole is sealed. A large, complete copper alloy trade weight dating to the post-medieval period, to the reign of William and Mary (AD 1689-1694). The weight is circular in shape with a raised lip and concentric circles on the front face. Within are several control stamps; a crowned W over M at c. 11 o'clock, a sword for St Paul's (London) at 12 o'clock, a letter A for avoirdupois at 1 o'clock and an ewer for the London Founders' Company at 5 o'clock. A Post Medieval cast copper alloy weight dating to circa (AD 1625 - 1649). The weight is circular in plan. The upper surface has a lipped rim and two fine low-relief concentric rings in the centre. Within the concentric rings is a centrally placed circular incision. At the centre of the front face of the weight there is a circular indentation which is where the maker would have shaved the weight to make it the correct weight. A complete cast lead alloy weight of Roman to Post Medieval date. This crude, irregular weight has a central peircing and is broadly circular in plan. The bottom half is broadly domed shaped and the top half broadly cylindrical, with a rounded top. The weight is undecorated with a cream coloured surface patina. Height 14.7mm. Base diameter 22.6mm to 23.5mm. Weight 35.6 grams (1.26 Ounces).
