A cast lead or lead alloy weight or possibly a large uniface token of probable Medieval or post medieval date (1200-1650 AD). The weight is broadly circular in plan and regular in cross section. The upper face is decorated with an irregular saltire cross which is itself divided by another horizontal cast bar. The upper quarter is pierced with an irregular shaped oval hole. The reverse is relatively flat, it possibly has a further cast design within a small oval panel on one edge. A complete cast lead alloy cylindrial weight of probable Medieval dating (11th to 15th Centuries AD).
The weight is circular in plan and rectangular in cross section. It consists of a small cylindrial weight, with a concavity in the upper most surface. The base is flat.
It has a diameter of 14.2mm and is 9.9mm tall. It weighs 13.1 grams / 0.46 oz.
