Cast copper alloy weight of post-medieval date (1588-1603). The weight is part of a larger group of stacking weights, having a wide and relatively thick raised edge on the upper face. The objects upper face is concave and roundly shaped in the body with a D-shaped section, and a rectangular extension at one end, presumably for suspension. The other face is flat with some intrusion from the extension along the surface. The weight is dark grey in colour with a white patina. It is 21.59mm in length, 31.79mm in width and 14.58mm thick. The weight is broadly oval (sub-rectangular with tapering sides terminating in blunt points) in plan and cross section.
