An incomplete cast lead alloy weight of unknown date. This plain, crude lead weight is broadly concial in shape and weighs one pound (491g). The weight originally had an iron loop, the stubs of which protude from opposite sides near the top. The conical shape has a broad rounded top, and around the base there is a wide, uneven lip. The weight has a cream patina, with the underlying grey metal showing at the sight of a recent plough strike. The weight is 39.6mm tall and has a maximum diameter of 54.3mm. The weight is similar to example 69 and 75 in Biggs and Withers, Lead Weights.

A crude lead weight. This flat weight is lozenge shaped in plan. The weight has no decoration or marks. The tip of one corner is slightly thicker on the front side. The weight has an off-white patina all over, apart from where recent abrasion has occurred. Height 41.3mm, width 41.5mm, maximum thickness 8.6mm Weight 66.7g (2.35 Ounces).
