An incomplete, cast lead weight with iron hook or loop, of unknown date. This large weight has a flat top and bottom, and is sub-oval in cross-section, tapering out from bottom to top. It has suffered much abrasion due to its size, which may account for it only having one area of creamy patina (on its top) and it being mishaped. Off centre in the top is the stub of an iron hook or loop, which is oval in cross-section (8.0mm by 10.5mm) The weight was found about 15 metres from a corner of the field marked as a hop yard on the 1841 tithe map.
