A complete lead weight, of Roman to Post Medieval date (AD 43 - 1900). The weight is tear dropped shaped in plan and both faces of the weight are flat. The weight is undecorated on both faces. The weight is complete and has a perforated rectangular suspension hole through the top where it thins to a tip, this measures 4.35mm in length and 2.59 mm in width. The lead is a light whitish-grey colour. These weights are not yet completely understood. A complete copper alloy probable apothecary or coin weight, of uncertain dating possibly from Early Post Medieval to Modern (AD 1600 toAD 1900). The probable weight is circular in shape, with a flat cross section. The object has a raised outer rim on both faces, this possibly enabled the object to be stacked. The objects surfaces are very worn and corroded therefore it is not possible to determine any design on either faces. The weight is sub-cylindrical with a single transverse cast hole set off centre (diameter 5.0 mm); the hole is filled with soil and one end is crushed and the hole is sealed. The weight measures 29.1mm length and 17.7mm diameter. It weighs 28.8 grams.
