An incomplete cast copper alloy fragment of uncertain function or date; it is most likely to be either later medieval or post medieval in date (AD 1350 - 1700). The fragment is broadly oval in plan and rectangular in section. The edges are incomplete (although in places areas of scalloping survive) and it is possible that this may be waste from an industrial process or an incomplete / miscast object. The lower surface is flat and undecorated; the upper surface is rough with possibly a miscast / relief design. The edges suggest the profile was H shape - possibly similar to glass came …

Small body sherd from a Severn Valley pottery vessel, not enough survives to indicate the form, probably dating from the Roman period (100-400 AD). The sherd is irregular in plan and profile. It is highly abraded and relatively thin. The fabric is a very soft earthenware with a powdery surface. The fabric has a number of small angular and sub-angular grit, iron stone and grog (pottery temper) inclusions. The fabric also has a large amount of mica within its make up. The fabric colour is a uniform orange. There is no evidence of a glazed surface applied to the external face of the sherd…

Two cast lead alloy vessel repairs (pot mends) of either Roman (50-400) or Medieval date (1200-1500). Both repairs are incomplete however one is more fragmentary than the other. They are both irregular in shape; in plan being broadly oval and H shaped in cross section. The mends are relatively thick with the outer face being even and neat, the inner surface more irregular. Neither mend has the remnants of the pottery vessel attached. An un-diagnostic sherd from a relatively thin walled coarseware pottery ‘Severn Valley’ vessel. The sherd is heavily abraded and probably dates to the Roman period (50 - 410), however, not enough of the sherd survives to be certain of the form or size and without this a more specific date is difficult. The fabric is relatively soft with a number of angular and sub-angular quartz, grit and ironstone inclusions. The fabric also contains considerable inclusions of mica / sand. Not enough survives of the sherds to indicate the form or overall vessel size. The sherds date from the Roman period (50 - 410). All the sherds are irregular in plan and broadly sub-rectangular in profile; each curves slightly. They are also worn and abraded by movement in the ploughsoil.
