A complete, cast lead pot mend / vessel repair of Roman to Post Medieval date. This mend was for a vessel wall of approximately 3mm thickness. On one side the mend is broadly round in plan, on the other, larger side, it is broadly rectangular in plan. It is H shaped in cross section and has a developed white coloured surface patina. The mend measures 29mm long, 27mm wide and 17mm thick, it weighs 34.5g.

An incomplete cast copper alloy fragment of uncertain function or date; it is most likely to be either later medieval or post medieval in date (AD 1350 - 1700). The fragment is broadly oval in plan and rectangular in section. The edges are incomplete (although in places areas of scalloping survive) and it is possible that this may be waste from an industrial process or an incomplete / miscast object. An irregular cast lead alloy vessel repair (pot mend) of probable Roman, Medieval or post medieval date (50-1800). In plan the repair is irregular and has an abraded H shaped cross section. There are no remnants of pottery within the H shaped section. These types of mend were used during many different periods. The vessel repair measures 28.2mm length, 25.0mm width is 10.9mm thick and weighs 43.4 grams. The H section has a groove of variable width - most regularly 2.9mm wide.

A complete, cast lead, pot mend / vessel repair of Roman to Medieval date. This mend was for a vessel wall of 3mm to 3.2mm thickness. A fragment of pottery remains in the plug, it is orange in colour with some black inclusions of about 5mm diameter. The mend is broadly tear dropped in plan on one side, and circular on the smaller side. It has a white patina. The mend 34.8mm long, 23.3mm wide and 10.4mm thick, it weighs 41.1g.
