A very worn, cut Medieval silver halfpenny, likely from the reign of Henry III (AD 1216-1272). Potentially Class7 short cross penny dating AD 1217-1242 due to the E appearing to conform more to that shown by North (1994) Vol.I pg.219 fig.12. The penny was cut in half from 5 o'clock to 11 o'clock on the obverse. Uncertain moneyer, potentially Salemun of Canterbury.
