A complete silver buckle of late post-medieval to early modern (early Georgian) date (1690-1720). The frame of the buckle is rectangular in plan with two centrally positioned drilled holes to accommodate an iron axis bar which holds the pin and chape. In profile the length of the buckle frame is curved and the width is straight sided. The external face of the frame is decorated with a series of cast decoration which comprises of a rolling scroll on the upper and lower frame with sub circular pellets situated within the scroll.
