A probable post medieval lead trade weight or net weight dating to circa AD 1500-1700.  The object is broadly oval in plan and flat in profile with an integral circular perforation hole. The weight has a cream coloured surface patina. The object has abraded edges. A parallel can be found on the PAS database CORN-E790D6, discovered in Cornwall.  The object has a height of 23.1 mm and a width of 24 mm. The thickness is 4.8 mm. It weighs 9.3 grams.

The token is roughly circular and is uniface, with a four petalled flower on the obverse and thus conforms to Powell Type 1. The reverse is quite heavily damaged, with large numbers of missing chips and potential evidence of corrosion. The object has a largely light grey patina with some cream coloured sections. A complete lead shot dating to the Post Medieval period (c. AD 1600-1800). The object is sub-spherical in form with one slightly flattened surface possibly from impact. The remians of a casting sprue can be seen on the opposing side. Lead bag seal. Cast disc with a pair of holes in opposite edges, to function as a drawstring bag closure. One side bears a stamped trade mark comprising crowned cabled rim and plain inner circle with a billeted bar across it with vegetal garniture, and the legend: GOOD SEEDS / CARRIAGE FREE / REGISTERED, with the larger legend: TRADE M[ARK RE]G[ISTERED] outside it. The opposite side is stamped centrally: SUTTON AND SONS, with an outer legend: SEEDSM[EN BY APPOINTMENT ENG]LAND. Founded in 1806, the firm was warranted by Queen Victoria in 1858. A complete lead alloy unifaced token of Medieval dating (AD 1400 to AD 1500). The obverse of the token has a long cross fleuretty extending from a central lozenge, resembling the Shield of France jettons (Powell type 14). The detail on the reverse is unclear. It measures 23.8 mm in diameter and 3.2 mm thick. It weighs 7.2 g. The token is a light grey colour, with an even surface patina. Token is worn.

A  cast lead alloy shot/ball of medieval date, probably for use in a hand cannon or mounted gun from the 15th century (possibly linked the war of the roses,and the battle of Mortimers Cross some 2.5 miles away). The surface is abraded, probably from movement in the soil by farm machinery and as such it is unknown as to whether it has been fired or not. A complete but heavily abraded and corroded cast lead or lead alloy spindle whorl of Medieval to Post Medieval date (1150 - 1650 AD), most probably Medieval (AD12300 -1600). The spindle whorl was originally broadly circular in plan and bi-convex in cross section. A central hole is present which has a diameter of approximately 11mm in diameter, Both faces of the whorl are decorated - although one face is poorly preserved.
