The object is an incomplete Trumpet brooch which dates to the Roman period or 1st to 2nd century AD. It is made of cast copper alloy and is incomplete. The head of the brooch is sub-oval in shape while the reverse is recessed. Surrounding the head is an angled border which flares outwards, and is decorated by a single incised line running around its perimeter. A complete cast lead token dating to the Post-Medieval period or 17th to 19th centuries AD. The token is 31.8mm in diameter, 3.1mm thick and weighs 26.51g. The token is decorated on one side by a six-foil star/petal design inside a circular border, the border being 3 - 4mm wide. In between each pointed oval (petal) is a single circular pellet.
