A secondary flake of light grey coloured debitage or segment implement of probable Mesolithic to Neolithic date (c. 10,000 - 2351 BC). The flake is rectangular and trapezoidal in section, but is perhaps too thick to be a blade. The distal end tapers at one corner and is broken. It measures 27.76mm in length, 11.72mm in width, 5.32mm thick and weighs 1.98grams. Butler (2005) illustrates a similar implement on Figure 46, No. 7. Mesolithic to early Bronze Age (c. 9000 to 1000BC) debitage: The debitage is similar to a core, but is probably a reused piece of debitage as one small face has cortex remaining. The other faces reveal a mottled blue to white patina. In plan the 'chunk' is sub-square and the surface has multiple scars at differing angles and it may have been truncated through damage. The item, measures 27.05mm tall, 27.13mm wide and 17.48mm thick. It weighs 19.14g. The debitage probably dates to the Mesolithic to early Bronze Age periods, c. 9000 to 1000BC.

Mesolithic to Neolithic (-8,300 to -2100) debitage: Primary flint flake with multiple scars and a strip of cortex on the dorsal surface. The ventral surface has conchoidal ripples, but the distal end is truncated but perhaps more recently and not intentionally. The proximal is also truncated, therefore the bulb of person is missing. The flint is a mottled light brown and white colour with a patina just starting to develop on the ventral and dorsal surfaces. 25.31mm long, 9.54mm wide and weighs 0.94g. The flake probably dates from the Mesolithic to Neolithic period.

The assemblage of flint consists of one (1) piece of primary debitage, one (1) piece of secondary debitage, probably from blade manufacture and a small piece of tertiary debitage which has been reworked into a scraper type tool. The primary debitage flake measures 29.49mm in length, 16.42mm wide and 7.92mm thick. It weighs 3.1 grams. The dorsal (lower) surface exhibits a lateral bulb of percussion. The ventral (upper) surface e…
