The fragment is a portion of a rim of a cooking pot. The rim in profile is sub-triangular and flares outwards slightly. The exterior surface has a heavy build up of carbon, whereas the interior is clean and relatively smooth. The interior has a mid green patina, whereas the surface of the exterior is rough.

In plan the fitting is asymmetrical. The terminal is a sub-trefoil shape with a hole in the central leaf. The mount then expands with curvaeous edges. The edge opposite the trefoil shape in a broken edge, but not a recent break. The upper surface of the fitting has moulded Renaissance-type relief which has traces of a black deposit on the surface. The reverse is undecorated.

The buckle frame is made of cast copper alloy. In plan it is a pointed oval shaped with only one complete loop, the other has the apex of the loop missing. The length of the frame is 24.7mm, the width is 20.2mm. The upper face of the frame is decorated with irregular grooves radiating out towards the outer edge of the frame. The reverse of the frame is undecorated and flat. The strap bar is trapezoidal shape in section. The pin is missing, but there is iron staining on the bar, which suggests there was an iron pin. The object is the fragment of a cast copper alloy cooking vessel rim. In plan it is a sub-rectangular shape, with the rim forming a narrow edge, and is the only unbroken edge. The breaks are not too recent, but also are not covered by the dark green patina on the interior surface. The interior surface has a well devloped smooth patina with slight pitting. In comparison the exterior surface has horizontal striations, and is covered with a heavy sooty deposit. The sherd is a rim fragment, probably of a jar. The sherd is made from Severn Valley Ware, which dates to early 2nd to 4th centuries (Webster, P 1976 ‘Severn Valley Ware: A Preliminary Study’ Transactions of the Bristol and Gloucestershire Archaeological Society Vol. 94). The fabric quite hard and has orange coloured surfaces with a mid grey coloured core. There are occasional small voids within the fabric, and occasional small red coloured inclusions. It is also micaceous. The sherd is slightly abraded, and weighs 40.3g.

A cast copper alloy annular buckle. The buckle frame is circular in plan. The frame has a sub-triangular section as the upper surface tapers to the exterior edge and is slightly convex. Bisecting the frame is a triangular sectioned strap bar. The pin is missing. In profile the frame is slightly twisted, but this does not appear intentional. The surface of the frame is abraded and has traces of a well developed mid green patina. The frame measures 29.96mm diameter and weighs 5g. A cast copper alloy finger ring. The bezel is a horizontal oval, forming a concave oval cell. Within the cell there are glassy traces which are now iridescent, therefore the original colour cannot be determined. The undecorated shoulders taper towards the loop. A cast copper alloy strap fitting, a decorative mount. In plan, the mount is a sub-drop shape, with a bifoliate base and a pointed tip. The mount is otherwise undecorated. The reverse is flat and has two integral oval sectioned studs which are bent towards one another. A fragment of leather still remains between the two studs. The surface of the mount has mot developed a heavy patina, but is a mid brown colour. It measures 17.97mm long, 10.33mm wide and 4.39mm thick, weighing 1.2g. Within the concentric rings is a low-relief conical. At the 6 o'clock position there is an ewer, the Founders Company mark which shows they have verified this weight.
