The remains of a copper alloy early Roman bronze coin. The fragment is irregular in plan and profile and seems to have been altered by severe uncontrolled heat, creating a metalic blob similar in patina to many early Roman coins; sesterti, dupondi or asses. Due to the distortion a direct parallel has not been found.

A circular Post Medieval lead token which has been broken, quite recently into two halves. Only the upper surface is decorated. The decoration is framed by a high-relief linear border. Within this border there is a high-relief pointed oval frame with a ring and dot within. The surface of the token has an oxidised cream colour. The token is 32.11mm diameter and weighs 12.6g. The token dates to the Post Medieval period, 17th to 18th centuries.

Heavily worn and abraded silver coin from the later Tudor period - probably the reign of Elizabeth I. Much of the diagnostic information is lost, the inscription suggests an Elizabethan date, as does the remnant of the square shield. From the size of the coin I suggest it is probably a silver threepence.

Copper alloy square shaped coin weight dated to the post medieval period 1564-1604. The coin weight is one of a number known from Antwerp (hence the use of the hand on the reverse). The initials around the hand are indistinct but it is likely to be either Cornelius Janssen (CI) or Cornelius VerPoorte (CVP). In my opinion it is likely to be the former (CI). A complete cast lead token dating to the Post-Medieval period or 17th to 19th centuries AD. The token is 31.8mm in diameter, 3.1mm thick and weighs 26.51g. The object is an incomplete cast lead token which probably dates to the Post-Medieval period, or 17th to 19th centuries AD. The token is 29.3mm in diameter, 3.1mm thick and weighs 17.57g. The object is mid-brown in colour and is slightly damaged around the edge, where some parts are now missing. The token is decorated on both sides. On one side is a fleur-de-lis. It is likely that this token came from the open stone mould described in record HESH-E487F2. A number of these were found with the mould (HESH-E5ECA0, HESH-E61942, HESH-E639B8, HESH-E651C8, HESH-E65DF2, HESH-E67611). Also found with these items was some lead waste (HESH-0A0041)and a large lead cannon ball (HESH-0A8EC3). This group could be interpreted as a metalworkers or token makers assemblage with both used (and recycled) tokens as well as a large amount of lead awaiting to be melted down. Similar tokens are often found and are dated to the post-medieval periods (1500 - 1700 AD).
