The object is roughly sub-trapezoidal in plan with a concave reverse and convex, domed top with two sub-rectangular sprue projections near the top. The surfaces are textured with pits from abrasion. An incomplete, copper alloy stud of uncertain date ranging from Roman to Post Medieval (c. AD 43-1700). The head is sub-oval with a convex outer surface and a concave reverse. Parts of the head are missing. There is an integral shank with a square cross section that tapers to a point, and it is now slightly off-centre of the currently existing head. An incomplete, iron axehead of unknown date, probably Early Medieval to Modern (c. AD 900-1900). The axehead starts at 96.77mm high near the blade, tapering to 53.98mm high near the back whilst also expanding from 6.01mm wide to 18.78mm wide towards the back of the head. At this point, it suddenly curves towards a triangular section that starts at 7.34mm wide and tapers to 3.51mm wide near the end. Ground stone spindle whorl of probable later prehistoric to later post medieval date (3000 BC - 1500 AD). The spindle whorl is sub-circular in plan, it measures 25.4mm diameter, and is 9.8mm thick. There is a regular slightly hour glass shaped pierced hole through the whorl and this is set slightly off centre. The shape of this hole would suggest that it has been achieved by drilling from each side. The hole measures 4.4mm in diameter. The whorl weighs 9.26 grams. A near-complete cast tin alloy bead of unknown date. The bead is roughly circular in plan and sub-oval in section with external diameter of 13.6 and 8.5mm thick. The central perforation is warped but the side with less warpage has an internal diameter of 5.8mm x 3.9mm. The bead lacks diagnostic characteristics so a definite date cannot be obtained, however two tin beads are recorded from Medieval (15th century) contexts and examples are described by Egan and Pritchard (2002: 315-316 no. 1584, 1585).
