An irregular fragment of cast copper alloy plate of uncertain date. The fragment is broadly rectangular in plan and cross section. All edges are heavily eroded and abraded; they do not represent the original edges. The upper surface has a poorly preserved cast pattern comprising radiating elements between oval lentoid open loops. It has a deep green coloured surface patina. A direct parallel has not been found although it is highly likely that it is from the rim of a decorated metal dish - possibly a chafing dish of later medieval date (AD 1200 - 1600). The crude weight has a flat base and a broadly round cross section which gradually tapers up to the narrow top where an iron loop suspension passed through its body. The stumps of the loop are present at either end. The weight is plain with an off white lead-oxide pationa. There are some rust stains at the top near the stumps of the iron loop. Height 36mm. Diameter 23mm - 26mm. Weight 103g.

A cast copper alloy ring of unknown date, most probably medieval (1250-1600). The function of the ring is unknown, given its size, wear and distortion it is most likely to be from a harness fitting. The ring is oval in plan and has a distinct angular sub-triangular cross section. The width of the ring is relatively uniform. There is no decoration on either the outer or inner surfaces. A small irregular lozenge / rhomboid shaped stone with hollowed oval shaped depression of uncertain date and function. The stone is a very coarse sandstone which has weathered to a smooth mid prupleish brown colour. The exterior surfaces are all flat - the upper edge has an oval shaped dished hole cut into its surface - the exact function of which is unknown. The hole measures - 26.5mm length, 21.4mm width and is 10.7mm deep. The edges of the hole are smooth and there is no evidence of faceting or drilling. An incomplete copper alloy cylindrical possible die or stamp, of uncertain dating, possibly Post Medieval (AD 1500 to AD 1800). The artefact consists of a cylinder, with one flat surface, with a bevelled edge, and one indented surface, with a probable bevelled edge. The indented surface has been decorated, with a scallop shell design. The sides are undecorated. It measures 6.8 mm in length, with a diameter of 9.0 mm. The scallop shell is 1.0 mm below the surface. It weighs 2.2 g. The artefact is a dark brown colour, with an even surface patina.

A large lead alloy spill of lead alloy of uncertain date or function - but most probably being of 17th century date and spill from casting - potentially lead alloy musket balls. The irregular splatter of lead measures 22cm length 18cm width and is 8cm high. It weighs approximately 6 kilograms. The upper side of the spill is flat and smooth whilst the underside is formed of tiny rivelets conjoined together. There are traces of irregular file marks on several surfaces. There is no obvious cast or incised decoration present. On one side the mend is broadly round in plan, on the other, larger side, it is broadly rectangular in plan. It is H shaped in cross section and has a developed white coloured surface patina.
