An incomplete copper-alloy button and loop fastener. The button is a small circular frame whose top edge has a raised border surrounding a recessed circular cell.  The cell looks to have originally been filled with a read enamel, although only traces remain around the edges. On the undersides is the shank of the loop, this bends round at a 90-degree angle away from the button element of the artefact, before expanding into an oval loop.

A fragment of a copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill type cf. Mackreth 2011, CD PH, 4.c. 12041, Plate 47. The wings are truncated but would have had rearward facing lugs at either end that held the pin axis bar. A truncated projection at the top of the head would formed a rearwards facing hook. The bow which emanates from the front of the wings is also truncated at the top, but appears to have been undecorated.
