An intentionally worn silver coin, possibly a sixpence of William III (AD 1694-1702), probably intentionally worn and countermarked for use as a 'slap' token, or possibly a love token.
Both faces of the coin are worn to blank and are therefore illegible. One face is stamped with the letters N N, in differing fonts, one roughly above the other. It appears that there was also an attempt on this side to stamp the letter W multiple times. On the other face, roughly in the centre of the coin, the letters WW and P are stamped. The WW sits perpendicular to the P.

Silver sixpence of William III (1694-1702) first bust on obverse and small crowns and late harp on reverse, dated to 1696 on the reverse, E behind head rather than below bust which could suggest Exeter mint, but there are no coins that match this type reverse from the Exeter mint that are dated to 1696, so assuming it is London mint, the reference is Spink 3531.
There is also a small countermark in the middle of the obverse bust which might suggest that the coin is a little base in its metal content (John Naylor pers comm).
