The obverse is worn but appears to depict a possibly bearded bust facing right. This may indicate Hadrian (AD 117-138), Reece period 6. The reverse is extremely worn and scratched revealing no details.

A silver Roman denarius of Hadrian (AD 117-138), probably a plated copy, dating to the period AD 134-138 (Reece period 6). SALVS AVG reverse type depicting Salvs standing left feeding snake coiled around altar and holding vertical sceptre. Mint of Rome. Cf. RIC II, p. 371, no. 269.
R. Abdy (British Museum) has examined this denarius and suggests that it is probably a contemporary plated copy.
