A complete and decorated iron stirrup of medieval date (c. 14th-15th century). The stirrup is triangular in shape and asymmetrical, with the left side notably longer than the right. The top of the stirrup has a narrow strap bar with a plate running around the front to protect the strap. An incomplete, iron, Post-Medieval, double looped buckle, AD.1640-1800. The object comprises the frame, mid bar and part of the pin of the buckle. The frame has a rounded square shape that has an arched profile. The upper surface of the buckle is decoared, possibly with silver wire inlay, though iron corrosion has obscured much of the design. The buckle is a substantial size and likely from either decorative horse harness or another heavy duty strap.

An iron horsehoe of post medieval date. The central aperture has a maximum width of 50mm and is keyhole shaped. The shoe is slightly convex, with an asymmetrical web of 40mm maximum width and appears heavily worn at the front, largely on the right side. The shoe lacks calkins or a toe clip and there is no evidence of fullering. The degree of corrosion makes the nailhole count difficult to determine.

A late medieval wrought iron horseshoe (c. 1400-1500), which is slightly bent. There are three rectangular holes on either side which appear slightly chamfered; one retains part of an iron rectangular-headed nail. There is no fullering. The heels narrow to rounded terminals and one has been bent into a calkin. The web has a maximum width of 32mm and the aperture has a slightly pointed oval shape. Cf. Clark (1995) type 4.

An incomplete single looped spur buckle with integral buckle plate dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1250-1400). The single looped spur buckle is formed by a sub-oval frame with straight outer edge, with the buckle plate being pointed and integral to the frame. An incomplete iron spur of Medieval or Post Medieval date; 15th to 17th century. The spur is incomplete and has the heel, an incomplete neck and incomplete sides. The sides are an elongated pointed oval in section expanding in depth andwidth towards the apex. The exterior of the heel apex has the neck protruding, and this is sub oval and appears to taper alightly before it is broken. The break is possibly recent due to corrosion. A fragment of a Post Medieval scale tang knife, 43.3mm in length, comprising a portion of iron tang which retains a copper alloy rivet and a cylindrical copper alloy end cap of 11mm diameter. The end cap has an incised saltire cross on both sides and an incised eight-rayed star on the flat terminal end. The sides of the tang merge into ridges defined by deeply incised lines on each side of the end cap. The handle, which has been lost, would have comprised matched pieces of bone, antler or wood which would have been held to the tang by rivets.

An incomplete cast iron double-looped oval buckle dating to the Post Medieval period (c. AD 1500-1650). The frame is broadly D-shaped in cross-section with angled outer edges and are slightly bevelled. The pin bar is slightly narrowed and circular in section. The underside is flat. Around the pin bar are the broken remains of a circular-sectioned pin attachment. The buckle measures 22.8mm long, a maximum of 14.5mm wide, 1.5mm thick and weighs 1.19 grams.

The base of the blade opens into a hollow conical socket filled with iron corrosion. The spearhead is 198mm long. The blade is a maximum of 28.9mm wide and 8.2mm thick. The socket is 22.2mm diameter. The spearhead weighs 114.33 grams.

A Medieval to post-Medieval iron rotary key, dating to c. AD 1300-1750. The bow is roughly 'D-shaped', the proximal end of the stem protruding to a rounded section within its central aperture. The stem is of oval section and narrows towards the terminal end. The bit is in two sections, which are the shape of two back-to-back, 'S-shaped' sides, separated from each other by an 'I-shaped' cleft.The key is a brown red colour, and is fragile from corrosion. It measures 116.2mm in length, 43.8mm in width, 9.2mm in thickness and weighs 49.64g.

An incomplete iron Post medieval double loop asymmetrical buckle dating from c.1575-1700, missing the iron pin. One loop is hexagonal shaped, and the other is D shaped. The inside and outside edges are bevelled. . The buckle has a narrow pin bar. On either side of the pin bar, and projecting out from the frame is a rectangular flat panel. The buckle is very worn and corroded, and is a red orangy brown colour. It measures 46.4mm in length, 33.9mm in width and weighs 14.73g. The buckle is similar to Whitehead 1996, 90, 562.

An iron barrel padlock, complete with shackle, but missing its internal components. The case is cylindrical and 36mm in diameter. The shackle is circular (c 18.5mm in thickness and 120.5mm in diameter) and hinged to an integral lug at one end of the case. The other end of the shackle terminates in a semi-circular collar which holds a flat plate which slots into the opposite end of the case. This plate has three rectangular holes designed to accommodate the barb springs of the lock mechanism, which are missing. There is a large hole in the underside of the barrel.

An early Medieval iron angular blade spearhead with a split socket, classified by Swanton (1974) as a Class E2 type spearhead dating from the seventh century to later in the Anglo-Saxon period. Most of a rounded, split socket remains. The blade is broadly lozenged shaped with angular shoulders, with a short solid neck above the socket. The surface is heavily oxidised and fragile.

An incomplete iron medieval barrel padlock dating to c.1200-1230 AD. The barrel lock consists of a circular disc plate (42.7mm in diameter), with two triangular shaped strips projecting at ninety degrees from the plate. One of the strips is longer and thicker and has a split spring extending from the terminal point. This one measures 68.2mm in length, 19.9mm in width, and 18.2mm in maximum thickness.
