A Roman silver denarius of Mark Anthony, dating to c.32-31BC. Travelling mint. Obverse: Galley with banners. Inscription: ANT AVG III VIR RPC. Reverse: Aquila between two standards. Inscription: illegible. Crawford, pp. 539-541, No. 544 These coins were struck by Mark Antony for the use of his fleet and legions when he was preparing for the struggle with Octavius, which culminated in the Battle of Actium on the 2nd of September, 31 BC (Grueber, 1970, 526).
