A lead alloy token of later Medieval to Post-Medieval date, circa (AD 1400-1800). The token is circular in plan. On the upper face is an equal armed cross in light relief with a central pellet and a pellet in each quarter, imitating a Medieval penny (Powell type 14b). The reverse face is decorated with a capital 'C' in light relief Powell type 2 (Initials). The token has a cream coloured patina across all surfaces which also has areas of abrasion. A complete Medieval to Post Medieval cast lead alloy uniface token, dating to c. AD 1250-1800. The token is decorated on one face with a cross and a pellet in each quarter design, all within a circle; the other face is undecorated. The token measures 22.05 mm diameter at the widest point and is 1.90 mm thick and weighs 4.3 grams. Tokens had a wide variety of uses and were easy to manufacture; they are therefore difficult to date specifically outside of secure archaeological contexts. A cast lead alloy token of later medieval or post-medieval date (1400-1800). The token is circular in plan. The upper face is well worn and contains a cast design in relief with a number of ribs visible at the outer edges of the token. A cast lead alloy possible cloth seal or token of Post-medieval date, circa (AD 1600-1800). The object is sub-circular in plan. If the lead alloy object is a cloth seal it would have probably comprised of 2 disks and a connecting strip. These are now missing, leaving one disk remaining. There is a small area on the edge of the object where the patina is abraded, this could be where the connecting strip was damaged and broken in the plough soil. A complete cast lead alloy plaque or furniture mount of late Medieval to early Post Medieval date, circa AD1400-1700. The plaque is sub rectangular in plan with rounded corners. The cross section is irregular. The front of the plaque has a moulded floral decoration. The reverse is flat and undecorated. There is a circular perforation, possibly a rivet hole, with a diameter of 1.66mm. The plaque has a light brown / yellow colour and an uneven patina. Soil adheres to the surface. Length: 36.00mm. Width: 20.19mm. Thickness: 1.64mm. Weight: 4.67g.
