An incomplete copper alloy Colchester derivative brooch of Roman date (AD 43-200). Only the head and upper bow remains. The wings, spring, pin, majority of the bow, foot and catch plate are missing. The bow head is slightly angular (comma shaped). Only a short section of the upper bow remains. A near complete late Iron Age/Early Roman copper-alloy crescent type "Aesica" brooch of first century AD date, possibly dating to circa AD 25-100. The brooch comprises an upper curved bow and a lower flat bow. An incomplete copper alloy cosmetic mortar, dating to Late Iron Age to the Early Roman dating (1st to 2nd Centuries AD). The mortar is formed from a curved piece of copper alloy. The mortar has a U shaped cross section. It has an incomplete suspension loop situated on the upper edge on the opposing side to the groove. A complete Medieval to Post Medieval cast lead alloy uniface token, dating to c. AD 1250-1800. The token is decorated on one face with a cross and a pellet in each quarter design, all within a circle; the other face is undecorated. The token measures 22.05 mm diameter at the widest point and is 1.90 mm thick and weighs 4.3 grams. Tokens had a wide variety of uses and were easy to manufacture; they are therefore difficult to date specifically outside of secure archaeological contexts. The outer surface has five circular concave holes in the form of a cross, as well as four oval shaped depressions at each corner. The inner surface contains a single stem-like projection which appears incomplete. The object has a greenish patina. It is 8.40 mm thick (including the projection) and weighs 17.2 gm.
