An incomplete Post Medieval copper-alloy handle from a knife dating to circa AD 1600-1650. Cast in two pieces, the extant element consists of a moulded male figure wearing a hat and playing a bagpipe. The figure surmounts a rectangular-sectioned socket which terminates in an old break. Both faces of the socket are decorated with a foliate design which is now heavily barded. A similar more complete example is recorded under NMS-03A28B highlighting that the foliate design on the socket faces would have been inlaid with enamel. An incomplete Post-Medieval copper alloy mount, dating to the period c. AD 1600-1700. The mount is in the moulded shape of a six-petalled flower, probably a rose. This includes six sub-triangular petals with domed outer surfaces, which have been further embelished by incised lines, all surrounding a central hexagonal cell. A contemporary forgery of a George III Halfpenny confirmed by Greg Spink of Spinks London. Apparently common around this possible date of 1775 (the last digit in exergue is not fully identifiable). The most identifying detail is the bust which is not George III in comparison to any of the issues. Obverse shows uniformed bust facing right with GEORGIVS III REX. Reverse shows Britannia seated left with BRITAN NIA.

A fragment of a Post-Medieval copper alloy crotal bell, dating to the 16th to 17th centuries. The fragment consists of part of the upper hemisphere of the bell and the suspension loop. The object is a convex piece of copper alloy that would have formed one half of a spherical shaped bell which usually had two holes connected by a slit in the lower half and the suspension loop on the upper half. A complete, pressed copper alloy token, a 'condor' token, dating to the late post-medieval period, AD 1794. This is a Colchester halfpenny token. The obverse has a depiction of Colchester Castle with the date 1794 below and the reverse has the depiction of a loom with the inscription: SUCCESS TO THE BAY TRADE. These tokens were issued during the late 18th century when there was a shortage of change in the country.
