An incomplete cast copper alloy Jew's harp (or Jaws harp) of Post-Medieval date, c. AD 1500 - 1800. The Jew's harp comprises a sub circular head with two tapering prongs, and is lozenge-shaped in cross section. A rabbat (notch) on one side at the apex of the head would have accommodated the tongue, which is now missing, the rabbat encrusted with iron corrosion. The object has a dark brown patina.
