An incomplete cast copper-alloy stirrup terminal of late Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon/Anglo-Scandinavian) date. The terminal has a hollow back that is semi-cylindrical in form and missing part of its attachment end due to old breaks. This contains traces of a white substance, probably used to solder the terminal to the now missing stirrup and is closed at the base.
