Penny fragment of Edward the Elder 899-924, king of Wessex, two-lined type (North no. 649). The obverse has a small central cross, the reverse gives the name of moneyer in two lines, followed by MO. The moneyer's name ends in LF, of which there are a large number of possibilities

Anglo-Saxon Silver coin, 20mm in diameter. The coin is in three pieces and is being held together with sellotape. Obverse shows helmeted bust facing right in solid border with inscription - '+ ECGBE RHT REX' Reverse shows a carolus monogram with inscription- 'DIOR TOD T(?)NE(one letter)?+'
