The coin is in a poor condition with wear and corrosion on both faces obscuring most of the markins and legends but enough can be seen to make an identification possible,

A copper alloy twopence or Turner of Charles I (1625 to 1649) dating to the period AD 1632 to 1639. Spink 5598 to 5601.
The obverse depicts the letter C R below a crown with II in between. The legend is illegible. The reverse is nearly completely illegible however it is just about possible to see a thistle in the centre of the field.

The coins range in weight from 0.6g to 1.7 g and in diameter from 12.82 mm to 19.30 mm. They are illegible on both sides but are likely to be a group of Scottish coins given the size and quality.

The obverse depicts a crown over the letter CR with three pellets around them. The legend reads CAR D G ....ANGL RE...HIB. The reverse depicts a large thistle surrounded by the legend which reads NE[MO ME] IMPVNE LACESSET.
