An incomplete medieval silver sterling imitation penny issued by Robert of Béthune, Count of Flanders (1305-22), and struck at Alost (Mayhew 211-15, 217-9, probably M219). Ref: Mayhew 1983: 82-5.
The mistruck shape of the face appears to be the same as Mayhew 219b and the reverse-barred N on the obverse and Lombardic n on the reverse seen on that coin is also seen here.
