A worn and bent foreign Medieval silver imitation long-cross penny of John the Blind (AD 1309-1346), King of Bohemia and Count of Luxembourg. The obverse shows a crowned head facing with bifoliate crown and elongated wedge drapery. Although the inner field is worn quite smooth, the face appears to be wide. The obverse legend reads +[I]O[h]ANnE[S DEI GRA]. There is a cross pattee initial mark. There is a barred A and the E's have a round back with three wedges. A contintenal immitation silver sterling of John the Blind, minted in Luxembourg c. 1320 - 30. The coin is extremly tarnished, and much of the detail is obscured or lost.
The obverse features a crowned bust facing and the inscription reads: [+ЄIWΛnES]DNSƵRE[X•B•].
The reverse features a long cross pattee with three pellets in each angle, and the inscription likely reads: VILЄ LVCЄ MBV GЄN.
