Obverse description: facing crockard bust with chaplet or roses, pointed face, drapery of angled wedges. Initial cross pattee.
Fair condition, wear evident on both faces of the coin. Scratches and dents. Appears to be misshapen. Tarnishing can be seen in the form of dark areas.

An incomplete medieval silver sterling imitation penny issued by Robert of Béthune, Count of Flanders (1305-22), and struck at Alost (Mayhew 211-15, 217-9, probably M219). Ref: Mayhew 1983: 82-5.
The mistruck shape of the face appears to be the same as Mayhew 219b and the reverse-barred N on the obverse and Lombardic n on the reverse seen on that coin is also seen here.

A very worn and slightly clipped 14th-century silver medieval penny, a continental imitation of sterling type issued by William of Namur (1337-1391 AD), struck at Namur (c. 1348 - 1391 AD; Mayhew type 361a). Within the Mayhew type 361 pennies, the 361a is closest to this example as it too features a misaligned crown and initial cross on the obverse face.
