A silver imitation sterling of an Edwardian type silver penny (known as a crockard) John of Avesnes minted at Hainaut (Valenciennes) dating to AD 1290-1291. + I COMES hANONIE depicting a bust facing crowned with a chaplet of roses. VALENChENENS reverse depicting a long cross with three pellets in each quarter. The coin is bent.
