A cut quarter / cut farthing of Henry II - Tealby Coinage - due to the nature of the cut quarter the coin cannot be further identified - the obverse shows a small area of the lower right hand side of the bust which suggests that it is more likely to be later within the coinage - Bust C, D or F. whilst the reverse inscription suggests the moneyer's name started with PI - this relatively rare name suggests the coin maybe a product of the following moneyers / mints: Colchester: Pieres London: Pieres, Pieres Mer & Pieres Sal Northampton: Pieres Norwich Picot

A worn and chipped medieval silver penny of Stephen (1135-1154), "Awbridge" type (North 881), uncertain mint and moneyer but probably Rogier of Canterbury (Mack type 103c), minted c.AD1154-1158. Ref: Mack 1966; North 1994. This coin is poorly struck off centre, and possibly clipped although the poor striking, uneven flan and chipping make this a little unclear. The poor striking resulted in blank parts on coin flan below left of the bust and a comparable section on the reverse. The coin, including the bust is quite crude and where visible the lettering is oft misaligned or unclear,…

A fragment of a medieval silver penny of Stephen (1135-54), Watford type (c.1136-45; North 873), uncertain mint and moneyer (see below). Ref: North 1994: 203. The is fragmentary, with c.50-60% of the coin remaining, struck on a squarish blank. Little of the obverse of reverse inscription remains, with the surviving reverse appearing to read +HIL[ ] perhaps indicating the moneyer is Hildibrand of Norwich although this is extremely uncertain.
