The bust suggests it could be Class E dating from AD 1168 - 1170, Mint of Carlisle and Moneyer Willem. It is 20.4mm in diameter and 0.4mm thick. It weighs 1.4g. Reference: North (1991, volume 1, page 217, number 960. The coin is cracked.

The coin is fragmented with one straight, cut edge and one irregular edge suggesting the coin may be a cut halfpenny. The poor striking of the coin might suggest Henry I or Stephen.
