A Medieval silver double patard of Charles 'the Bold' of Burgundy dating AD1467-1477. The coin has wear and slight damage to the edge and a fold to the reverse at the top. The obverse has a squared shield of Burgundy with a rampant lion at the centre and the legend [K]AROLVS [DEI] GRA DV[X] BG BRA[B Z] LIM translating to 'Charles, by the grace of God Duke of Burgundy, Brabant and Limberg'(present day Belgium).
