Copper alloy jetton. A French jetton, probably of the Tournai mint. The obverse shows the "Chatel Tournois" (the Castle of Tours)design of the town of Tours. No direct parallel found in the references, but similar to Barnard No 28. Barnard explains that the design of the Chatel Tournois varies so that the object on the top of the tower can be a cross, a lis or a crown. Dating from circa 1415 to 1497.

Copper alloy French 'stock'jetton probably from Tournai dated to the later medieval period (1400 - 1550). The jetton has been heavily abraded and almost all detail has been lost. It has also been pierced from the obverse to reverse with a square shaped punch. The waste material around the hole has been trimmed and the hole filed to remove sharp edges. The hole is slightlly irregular suggesting that it has been suspended / worn.

A copper alloy jetton in poor condition. One side is completely illegible, however the other seems to show one circle from the 'three circles badge of Tournai' type. This makes it either Charles VIII (1422-1461) or Louis XII (1497-1515). For examples see Mitchiner, p.242-5, 203, 210-11.
