Unfortunately the month is illegible. The first letter is a possible J, but uncertain. Measures 31.9mm diameter x 2.3mm, weighing 11.82g. A tin farthing of James II (1685-88), very corroded and is chipped around the edge. There is a rectangular copper plug in the centre of the coin. The date is illegible, but these coins were issued for 1697 only. It is 23.6mm in diameter and 2.9mm thick. It weighs 4.96gm. Reference: Spink (2003) number 3421.
