A Continental Medieval silver sterling imitation of an Edwardian long-cross penny, of Gauchier of Châtillon (c.1260-1329), Constable of France, Count of Porcien and holder of the fief of Florennes (by right of his wife Isabelle of Rumigny, whom he married in 1313, until she died in 1322); minted at Yves, 1313-1322, Mayhew type 239. An example in Copenhagen with M on reverse appears to be the closest parallel, see 239d. Measures 18mm, weighs 1.07g, die axis 9-10.
