An Early Post-Medieval copper alloy Nuremberg jetton of Wolfgang Laufer I, Master 1554-1601. It measures 21mm in diameter and is slightly worn and bent. All stops are voided quatrefoils. Obverse: Three crowns and three lys around five-petalled rosette i.m. six-pelleted rosette W[V]LF∙LAVFER∙IN∙NVRNBERG Reverse: Reichsapfel topped by cross crosslet all in complex trilobe i.m. six-pelleted rosette RECHEN∙PFENIG∙MACHER∙IN Ref: Not in Mitchiner but see p.474 for comparable jettons

An incomplete post-medieval copper-alloy Nuremberg jetton of Hans Schultes III (active 1608-1612) dating to 1608-1612. Rose/orb type inscribed GLICK KVMPT VON GOT IST WAR. Minted at Nuremberg. See Mitchiner (1988, 412-413) nos 1405-1407 Around half of the original flan survives, the rest lost to a relatively straight break.
