A silver Portugese 20 Reis, probably issued by Joseph I between 1706 and 1777. The Portuguese counterpart to the Spanish quarter real.
Obverse: Openwork globe with a rouletted border.
Reverse: Voided cross potent. P in each quarter. Rouletted border.
No inscriptions.
Circular hole located just off centre, punched from reverse to obverse. Internal diameter is 2.0 mm.

An incomplete (clipped) double patard of Charles the Bold (AD 1467 to AD 1477), dating to the period between AD 1467 to AD 1477. Minted in Flanders. RAROLVS DEI GRA DVX BVRG CO FLA obverse type depicting a square topped shield bearing the quartered arms of Burgundy. SIT NOMEN DOMINI BENEDICTVM reverse type depicting an ornate cross fleuretty with a central lozenge containing a fleur de lys (lis). Cross Pattee initial and reverse mark. Double annulet stops on obverse and reverse. Die axis 7 o'clock. The coin has been pierced at 5 o'clock on the obverse, obscuring part of the legend.

A silver medieval Double Patard of Charles the Bold (1467-77) of Flanders and Brabant (present day Belgium). The obverse has the quartered shield of arms and the reverse bears an ornate cross fleury. As a part of a commercial and political pact, these coins were made legal tender in 1469 and circulated as the exact equivalent of a Groat until 1530.
