A worn early 13th-century silver medieval cut halfpenny of either William I (1195-1214) or Alexander II (1214-1249) of Scotland. The coin was cut from a penny of the voided short cross type, Phase B, struck by Hue and Walter, uncertain mint (c. 1205 - c. 1230 AD; Spink 5029 or 5032)
